These images were produced during some workshops I was delivering to Leeds Beckett Graphic Arts & Design students entitled 'The Language of Form'. The workshops explored the basic elements of form such as shape, colour, texture, line, light, shade, balance, space, weight, scale and composition. 

This series of exercises in composition were a deliberate attempt to be none figurative, although several of the more figurative illustrations I was producing during this period became directly influenced by these sessions.
